At the emergency room, Daniel is wheeled in on a gurney. Fynn learns that he was not breathing at the scene of the accident.
Kayla asks Fynn how bad is it? Fynn says it is as bad as it gets.
Nicole, Maggie and Victor arrive at the hospital, Fynn breaks the news to them that Daniel is brain dead. Tears start flowing.
Fynn explains that Daniel was an organ donor. He is on life support, but is brain dead. Nicole goes to see him. Fynn reflects on the loss.
Nicole takes Daniel's hand. She feels like it is bad dream, because things don't happen like this, Daniel is everybody's rock. Nicole cries.
Victor tells John and Theresa that Daniel didn't make it. Maggie enters Daniel's room. Nicocle hugs her and leaves. Maggie starts to cry and crumples to the floor with grief.
Maggie sits with Daniel, when Victor enters to say goodbye to Daniel.
Later, Nicole sits by herself and listens to the last video message Daniel sent her. She begins to sob.
Nicole steps back into Daniel's room. She fondles the engagement ring he gave her. She sits and sobs.
