At the Kiriakis mansion, Daniel and Victor are discussing Victor's business dealings with Xander. Victor denies any connection, but Daniel doesn't believe him. Victor gets a phone call that Caroline is in the hospital. Their conversation ends and they both head to the hospital.
At the hospital Daniel learns that Serena helped to save Caroline's life. He gets a moment to speak with her. As shaky as their relationship is, Daniel cuts her some slack after learning about her help with Caroline.
Victor and Daniel part ways, but Daniel wants to find a time to finish their conversation.
When Daniel arrives home, he learns that Maggie and Nicole have agreed to be family. Nicole is touched by her actions. Daniel tells Nicole about Serena helping Caroline. Daniel leaves to check on Parker. Nicole sarcastically comments that Serena is now the heroine.
