Daniel returns home from seeing Chloe and Parker off. Nicole is ranting about Serena saving Caroline. She thinks it will affect Eric into trusting Serena. Daniel tells her Eric is a big boy and can deal with Serena. He wants to concentrate on making Nicole happy. Daniel kisses Nicole and unzips her dress when a knock comes at the door. Daniel answers the door to find Jennifer. She bears an engagement gift and wishes Daniel and Nicole all the best. Nicole is touched by the sentiment. Jennifer would like to speak with Nicole alone. Daniel heads to the hospital, but stops by club TBD to meet Nicole for lunch.
Daniel spies Serena hugging Eric. Eric leaves. Serena tells Daniel not to worry, the hug was just gratitude. Serena asks Daniel for a favor. She would like him not to tell Eric or Nicole about the recording. Daniel agrees and Serena thanks him and gives him a hug. Nicole arrives and is disgruntled to see Daniel hugging Serena.
