Daniel and Brady go to see Victor. They want answers about Xander. Victor is sorry what they have been through. He understands Xander is in custody. Daniel wants to know why Victor freed him in the first place on a previous murder conviction. Victor admits he helped him, because he was family, but this time is different. He wants Xander to leave town permanently.
Later Daniel and Brady go to see Nicole at the hospital. They are unaware that Nicole and Eric have just had an emotional conversation regarding the night they kissed. Eric leaves and Brady thinks he should go talk to him. Daniel asks Nicole if she would like to come home with him. Nicole asks for tonight? Daniel was thinking for good. Daniel says life is to short. they need to live! Daniel doesn't want Nicole anywhere, but by his side. He also tells her that Parker is crazy about her. Daniel asks Nicole to marry him. Nicole hugs him and says she loves him.
Nicole and Daniel are ready to leave the hospital. Nicole goes back to her room to pick up her release papers. Roman stops Daniel. He warns him that Xander has been released. Daniel is livid there is no case. Roman leaves and Nicole asks Daniel if something is wrong. Before he can tell her, he is called away for a consultation. Nicole will wait for him.
