At the hospital, Daniel and Nicole are ready to leave,when Daniel gets called away for a consultation. Nicole is waiting for him, when Xander arrives. Nicole is aghast that he is not in jail. Daniel returns and is livid. He punches Xander sending him flying to the ground. Daniel continues to pummel Xander when the hospital security arrives and pulls him off. Anne intervenes to call the police. Nicole is screaming that Xander deserves everything he got. He is wanted for attempted murder. Xander explains he was not charged. He was in Chicago. Nicole calls him a liar and attacks him. Hospital security pulls her off and Daniel grabs her. Daniel leaves with Nicole, but not before telling Xander that if he touches Nicole again, he will kill him.
Daniel and Nicole meet with Aiden. Aiden explains that Xander has an air tight alibi. As of right now, there is no evidence to prove he tried to kill Nicole and Eric.
Later, at Daniel's apartment, Daniel tells Nicole he will draw her a hot bath so she can relax. He wants to concentrate on their first night with her home with him. Nicole hugs Daniel, but flashes back to her interlude with Eric. She says no, she cannot stay with Daniel. Daniel is stunned.
