Daniel checks on Nicole. She has just had a dream about Eric. Daniel says it is normal to be traumatized after what she and Eric went through. Daniel explains to Nicole how he found her. Nicole unravels her story about closing in on Xander's background. Daniel explains about Serena and Xander smuggling diamonds into the country using the elephant.
Daniel is asked to give a statement to the police. Roman questions Nicole. Daniel meets with Abe and tells him about the diamonds. Abe turns to talk to Serena. She wants to speak with a lawyer.
Daniel is unaware that Nicole's feelings were stirred by Eric. Eric remembers the romantic interlude with Nicole as they faced death and he goes into Nicole's room to see her.
