Daniel reaches the hotel in Chicago, but cannot find Eric or Nicole. He sends Eric a text. Xander sends back a phony text that they have changed hotels. Daniel is not buying it and forces Serena to tell him the truth. Serena tells him that Nicole is in trouble with Xander. He could kill her. Daniel calls Victor and Brady to get involved. Daniel races back to Salem.
They found Eric's car near where Nicole works. Brady, Daniel and Serena search Nicole's office. They find the room temperature to be extremely hot. Daniel heads to the furnace room. Brady helps him break down the door and they find Eric and Nicole passed out. Daniel checks on Eric and he has a pulse, but when he checks on Nicole, he is unable to find a pulse.
