Daniel is at the hospital waiting for Maggie to take her home. He calls Nicole, but only gets voice mail. He leaves her a message that he would like to see her tomorrow. Maggie returns and declines Daniel's offer for a ride home. She is going to talk with a woman she sponsors in AA.
Later, Daniel runs into Marlena at the hospital. She is concerned. She just saw Serena and she has broken up with Eric. Marlena is not able to get a hold of Eric. Daniel flashes back to his meeting earlier in the day with Eric. Eric was upset when he saw the hidden elephant compartment and with Serena's obsession to get her hands on it. Daniel tells Marlena he will go to see Serena to see what is happening.
When Daniel arrives at Serena's hotel room, she is frantic and not making much sense. She becomes angry with Daniel's questions and is set on going to find Eric before it is too late. Daniel pushes her to tell him what is wrong. When Serena mentions Nicole is involved, Daniel wants answers now!
