At Daniel's apartment, he questions Melanie about her doing research on pregnancy and plasma. Melanie lies to Daniel and tells him it is for an upcoming nursing exam. Melanie was actually doing research regarding Theresa and Brady. Daniel buys the lie and tells her that she will do well on her exam.
Melanie leaves and Jennifer arrives. She is worked up about Daniel interfering with JJ and Eve's affair. Daniel tells her it is wrong to keep this from Paige. Jennifer argues with Daniel that she has worried about keeping the secret, but felt that it was the only way she could see her son happy. In the conversation, Daniel learns that JJ slept with Eve more than once. He now realizes just how serious this is. Paige must make her own decision on this. Keeping the truth a secret never works out. It will eventually come out and Paige will get hurt. Jennifer asks Daniel what he is going to do. When he looks up, Paige is standing in the doorway.
