At the hospital, John approaches Daniel. Daniel assumes he wants to talk about Brady and Melanie. Daniel tells John he found it hard to accept at first, but now he believes in them. Daniel realizes that John was not aware of Brady and Melanie being together. He was there to ask Dan for an update on Sonny's condition. Daniel tells John that he needs to discuss Brady's relationship with Brady. John leaves to do that. Daniel tries calling Brady to give him a heads up on the situation.
Later, Daniel drops by to see Eric with some cupcakes. They discuss the African art Eric is giving to charity. Daniel admires the elephant piece. Eric comments that Serena has one too.
