Daniel arrives home. He starts to call Nicole, but Eric arrives at his door. Eric approaches Daniel about the elephant. He wants to see it. Eric tells Daniel that he suspects Serena has been using both of them. When Eric inspects the elephant, he realizes Serena has smuggled diamonds into the states from Africa. Eric leaves to meet with Serena.
Daniel calls Nicole and they arrange for a date tonight. As they both have gifts for Brady's baby, they agree to meet at Victors. Daniel meets with Maggie and Victor. He tells them that he is trying to work things out with Nicole. Expecting negativity from Victor, Daniel braces himself for Victor's lecture. Instead, Victor tells him he will not interfere with Daniel's happiness. Maggie leaves so Victor has a chance to talk with Daniel alone. Victor informs Daniel that Xander will not bother him again. Xander is leaving town tonight.
