Daniel arrives home to find Melanie has arrived. He gives her a huge hug to welcome her home. Melanie explains the drama in Italy and that Brady and Theresa have a new son. Daniel is glad Melanie is safe. He heads to the hospital to see Brady and the new baby. Melanie backs away from going. Daniel tells her that the baby is going to bring changes to their lives, but it will not change the fact that Brady loves her. She changes her mind and goes to the hospital.
At the hospital, Daniel checks out the baby and assures Brady that there is no immediate danger. Brady keeps getting texts from Grandpa Victor for updates. Daniel offers to go see Victor. Brady thanks him.
When Daniel gets to the Kiriakis mansion, he finds Nicole leaving a note for Brady. He tries to invite her for coffee, but when Nicole spots Xander lurking in the doorway, she rudely turns Daniel down. Daniel doesn't understand why she is so upset. Nicole tells him she is sick of fighting. She also tells him not to call her, then Nicole pulls away from Daniel and abruptly walks out.
