Daniel is on the phone with Jennifer. He senses that she is stressing out. Jennifer admits that Eve has her worried. Jen would like to talk with Daniel when she gets back from her trip.
Daniel tries to smooth things over with Nicole. He arrives at her office with flowers in hand. Nicole smiles when she sees them. Daniel and Nicole kiss and make up. Things look promising until Daniel receives a disturbing phone call from Melanie on Marlena's phone. Melanie is in Italy with the police, Marlena, Brady, Theresa and Dr. Mandrake. When Daniel mentions Dr. Mandrake. He sees Nicole knows something about this. He pushes her for information and is annoyed that she kept this from him. A shouting match develops and Nicole throws Daniel's flowers in the trash and walks out of her office.
Later, Nicole walks into Rafe's bar and overhears Daniel on the phone complaining to Brady that he needs to know what is going on. He mentions Nicole's name and her unwillingness to give him information. Nicole turns around and walks back out. Rafe approaches Daniel. Daniel ask him if he still has contacts at the FBI. Rafe agrees to help.
