At Daniel's apartment, he confronts Jennifer about JJ's relationship with Eve. Jennifer pushes his questions away and tells him he needs to stop worrying about her and her family. Daniel tells her he still cares about her and her family. He wonders if she has made the right choice here. He is adamant that if the truth comes out, both Paige and JJ's future together will be destroyed.
In the middle of the heated discussion, Nicole is at the door. Daniel tells Nicole to leave, he is not finished talking to Jennifer. Nicole eavesdrops in the hallway. She hears Daniel tell Jennifer how much he cares for her. Nicole now thinks that Daniel is trying to get back with Jennifer. When Jennifer leaves, Nicole races back into the apartment. Daniel is furious she eavesdropped on his conversation with Jennifer. He gets notified that he is needed at the hospital. He races off. Nicole races off after him. At the hospital Nicole approaches Daniel again, but he is annoyed and rudely fluffs her off, before Maxine ushers him off to see the patient.
