At the hospital, Daniel learns that Melanie wil not be able to make lunch. He also learns that she has given her house key to Serena to drop off some books. Daniel cringes as he has given Nicole his house key to make lunch.
When Daniel arrives home, he finds Serena picking up books. He asks if everything is OK. She says yes, but makes a quick exit, commenting that it is clear Daniel and Nicole are back on. After Serena leaves, Daniel confronts Nicole. She wants things between them to speed up. Daniel is gun shy, but says he is interested. He shows her by leaning in and giving her a kiss. Daniel thinks it is best if she leave. Nicole goes to leave. Daniel asks her what Serena meant by no damage. Nicole says it was when she knocked over the elephants, but Daniel says there is only one elephant.
