At the hospital, Daniel and Kayla struggle to save Sonny's life. There is tremendous concern that the hospital blood supply is low and Sonny could die if more blood is not found. More blood is found and Daniel and Kayla find the bleeder in time.
Daniel breaks the news to Victor, Maggie, Brady and Melanie that Sonny is going to live. Victor offers Daniel his own Greek island. Daniel tells Victor that if Maggie hadn't stopped the bleeding, Sonny would not have survived. Melanie hugs Daniel. Daniel heads for home.
On his way home, Nicole approaches Daniel in the town square. Daniel is in no mood to talk with her. Nicole tries to get Daniel to believe she loves him. Daniel tells her he cannot trust her. It is too little, too late and walks away. Nicole now knows what she has to do.
